Our take on Dark Light: Survivor
Players who need a stable viewpoint may bounce when combat requires switching between overhead control and third-person aiming. Build-focused players may also hit a wall when runs demand choices among classes, artifacts, starting equipment, and permanent upgrades.
What is Dark Light: Survivor?
Dark Light: Survivor is a dark science-fiction action roguelike combining survival combat, ARPG-style loot, and third-person shooting.
Runs take place across a shattered multiverse as the player travels aboard the Phantom Train and faces new enemies, bosses, weapons, and choices in each world. Combat can switch between an overhead view and third-person aiming at any time. Resources, permanent upgrades, weapons, items, artifacts, starting equipment, and abilities shape progression between runs.
Three classes offer different skills, strengths, and upgrade paths. The game includes three deadly settings: a ruined town overrun by demons and cybernetic horrors, cursed castle ruins, and a frozen battlefield populated by giant insect beasts near wrecked warships. Pixel Mode provides an alternative visual style to the cinematic 4K presentation.
