Cryptark is a 2D roguelike shooter about boarding procedurally generated alien starships as a privateer.
Each mission calls for an attack plan and a choice of equipment before players face cyborgs, robots, and security systems guarding the ship’s central System Core. Destroying the core completes the mission. Successful operations generate income for the privateering enterprise, which can be spent on improved weapons and equipment for more dangerous targets. A failed mission results in losing the investment and profit. The game includes over 70 weapons and items, including frag cannons, tractor beams, flamethrowers, and nukes. It also features high-score leaderboards, lip-synced voice acting, and a soundtrack for its firefights.
