Our take on GUNHEAD
Rather than treating an FPS as a straightforward run-and-gun sequence, GUNHEAD places ship systems and loadout decisions at the center of each raid. Its first-person combat is paired with a roguelite structure and a stated objective of dismantling interconnected defenses before reaching the central core.
What is GUNHEAD?
GUNHEAD is a fast-paced FPS roguelite about a pirate mech raiding derelict alien ships.
Each vessel is procedurally generated and defended by cyborg creatures, robots, and security systems. The objective is to board a ship, plan an attack through its interconnected defenses, and destroy the central System Core. Successful raids provide income for the mech’s privateering operation. Jetpack movement supports the first-person firefights, while four weapon slots can be configured from more than 50 weapon options. The game presents every enemy ship as a separate challenge, combining action with loadout planning and tactical navigation. GUNHEAD follows Alientrap’s 2D roguelite Cryptark, expanding that game’s strategic approach into a first-person format.
