Our take on Clock Tower: Rewind
Rather than centering combat, this survival-horror adventure makes evasion the main tension: exploration, hiding, and item searches shape encounters with Scissorman. Its two-mode structure also places a 1995 version beside a revision with added content and quality-of-life changes.
What is Clock Tower: Rewind?
Clock Tower: Rewind follows Jennifer, a teenage orphan searching the Barrows family manor for items, secrets, and ways to avoid Scissorman.
Its point-and-click survival-horror gameplay combines exploration, hiding, running, and randomized elements with multiple possible endings. Players can choose Original mode, based on the 1995 release, or Rewind mode, which adds gameplay changes and quality-of-life refinements. The package also includes a new animated opening, vocal opening and ending themes, motion comics with voice-over, an art gallery, a music player, a creator interview, border artwork, and save states. The game is officially translated and released outside Japan for the first time, with atmospheric 2D art, detailed animation, and haunting sound effects supporting the manor’s tense exploration.
