- Players who enjoy evading enemies through hiding spots and environmental distractions
- Fans of repeated escape attempts with limited inventory decisions
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking combat-focused horror, since survival centers on hiding, distraction, and pursuit rather than fighting demons
- Players who prefer forgiving progress, since death ends the current run and item locations change between attempts
- Players who want a single fixed route through a location, since exits and key-item placements vary
Our take on Cursed Halls
The focus on stealth, random item placement, and permanent death creates tension but leaves little room for forgiving experimentation. An 8-item inventory also turns exploration into constant selection and discarding, making preparation part of the challenge rather than a separate concern.
What is Cursed Halls?
Cursed Halls is a stealth horror game set across an abandoned school, a ruined hospital, and a haunted prison.
Each location contains a distinct demon, traps, hiding places, and escape routes. Key items are placed differently in every run, while each exit requires particular objects to unlock. Players can throw objects to distract enemies, hide in ventilation ducts, lockers, under tables, or inside cabinets, and use maps that show level layouts and essential item locations. A limited inventory of 8 items makes carrying decisions part of each escape attempt. If detected, players must break the demon’s line of sight or flee through the environment. Permadeath makes every mistake final, sending the player back to the start of another run.
How Cursed Halls plays
- 01Randomized Item Locations
- Important objects appear in different places between runs, requiring new searches and escape plans.
- 02Demon Evasion
- Players can distract pursuers with throwable objects or hide in ducts, lockers, cabinets, and beneath tables.
- 03Limited Inventory
- The carrying capacity is restricted to 8 items, so objects must be selected and discarded during exploration.
- 04Multiple Escape Routes
- Exits use different unlocking items, giving each level more than one possible way out.
- 05Three Horror Locations
- The game includes an abandoned school, a ruined hospital, and a haunted prison, each with its own demon.
- 06Permanent Death
- A death ends the current attempt and makes mistakes consequential throughout each run.
