Our take on Folding Edge
Permadeath gives each decision lasting weight, but it also discards the current run after defeat. The randomized structure adds variety between attempts while sacrificing a fixed sequence of encounters and outcomes.
What is Folding Edge?
Pilot a spaceship through a randomly generated hexagonal galaxy and attempt to reach home.
Each run changes the enemies, events, and consequences of decisions, with a hidden area requiring a special item to access. Collect cards, choose between using cards and equipment, improve the ship, and recruit and train crew members from different races. Deck and equipment choices affect which crew members receive upgrades. The journey uses permadeath: a failed run ends with no return, requiring another attempt through a new adventure. The game combines space exploration with card-based decisions and ship progression, while presenting repeated challenges through changing layouts and outcomes.
How Folding Edge plays

- 05Hidden Space
