Is Caravan worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Players who want trading and exploration combined with RPG elements
- Strategy fans who enjoy managing a caravan between towns
- Players interested in pre-medieval Oriental settings and regional folklore
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a combat-focused game may find the caravan management and trading activities take up too much of the experience
- Those looking for a purely realistic setting may bounce off the mystical creatures, djinns, and folklore-based world
- Players who do not enjoy repeated town-to-town travel may lose interest in the caravan’s journey structure
Our take on Caravan
The bounce point is the caravan loop itself: players who want constant combat may disengage when trading, travel, and town quests take priority. Those who avoid folklore-driven settings may also stop when supernatural creatures and djinns enter the journey.
What is Caravan?
Caravan combines strategy and RPG elements in a trading and exploration game set in a pre-medieval Oriental world.
Players manage a caravan and send it from town to town, where they can pursue quests and encounter dangerous, mystical adventures. Travel brings fights against bandits, beasts, ghoulish creatures, and djinns. The setting draws on the history and geography of the Orient, regional folklore, and stories associated with the Arabian Nights. The story follows a royal heir who leaves a life of splendor after a storm changes the course of the kingdom. The journey is tied to Iram, the City of Pillars, and the search for a way to restore the heir’s mother’s happiness.
