Our take on Blind Boris
Instead of giving players a stable visual map, the game makes perception itself part of the challenge. Sound, smell and memory guide movement, while memory loss changes the hospice’s layout, replacing familiar horror-game navigation with an unstable internal model.
What is Blind Boris?
Blind Boris is a survival-horror game set in a hospice where staff vanish, disturbing sounds come from outside and hostile visitors enter while the exits remain locked.
Boris perceives the building through smell, hearing and memory rather than conventional sight. Limited resources can be located through sensory clues, then combined from four resource types to create items. Traps can briefly reveal or stun enemies, allowing direct attacks, while Boris can defend himself to reduce harm. Escape requires exploring the hospice and opening five doors. His memory gradually loses the building’s layout, changing locations over time. Medication stabilizes his memory and saves the game. The story shares a universe with The Line but does not require that game for context.
