- Players looking for supermarket management beyond operating a register may find the work scene limited in scope
Our take on Need a packet?
The bounce point is the checkout system's added procedures. Players who are comfortable registering products may stop when the game requires manually coded weighing, returns, and change. The minibus sequence is another sharp shift for anyone expecting the cashier work to remain the sole activity.
What is Need a packet??
Need a packet?
is a horror simulation game about Molly, a supermarket cashier whose routine work becomes increasingly disturbing. The game has three scenes: her house, the journey to work, and the supermarket. At home, Molly can recover health and interact with household objects. The journey includes news, streams, apartment shopping, and a bullet-hell section where players drive a minibus around cars, ships, and large garbage-themed enemies. At work, players register customer purchases and take payments. The checkout tasks become more involved through manually coded weighing, returns, and change. The story also includes environmental pollution, disappearing citizens, dragons, chimeras, and a cash register that appears to transform into a medieval tower.
