- Players seeking a climbing-focused journey or a fast-paced roguelite shooter may prefer alternatives with those structures
Our take on Alchemist Adventure
Rather than treating alchemy as a fixed recipe list, the game makes experimentation part of exploration, puzzle solving, and combat. Its progression also replaces frequent safety nets with increasingly scarce save points and no auto-save, adding preparation to the usual action-adventure structure.
What is Alchemist Adventure?
Play as Mya, an alchemist searching the mythical land of Isur for her lost memories and missing family.
The journey crosses four regions containing quests, puzzles, enemies, and lore. Alchemy uses fire, water, air, earth, and special ingredients to produce bombs, elixirs, and sword oils without fixed recipes. Potions also alter the environment by raising water, forming ice platforms, and moving objects. Element combinations open chests, create routes, and reveal hidden items, while elemental weaknesses shape combat choices. A flying homunculus can fight, solve puzzles, and gather resources, and another player can join in co-op. Difficulty rises as save points become less frequent, with no auto-save.

Alchemist Adventure compared to similar games
Alchemist Adventure combines action RPG combat, elemental crafting, environmental puzzles, and a four-region story, while Jusant centers on climbing tools, stamina management, and a meditative ascent through a tower. Sundered: Eldritch Edition is a chaotic metroidvania, whereas Alchemist Adventure focuses on potion creation, elemental interactions, and puzzle-based exploration. The alternatives do not describe the homunculus co-op structure included here.
