The bounce point comes when the hidden-role structure takes over: players who want constant combat must first blend into the camp, perform civilian tasks, sabotage generators, or investigate others before direct attacks become central.
What is Zombie Within?
Zombie Within is an asymmetrical social deduction game for up to 6 players.
One player acts as a Zombie Imposter, blending into a survivor camp, completing civilian tasks, disabling generators, spreading infection, and killing under cover of darkness. Defenders protect the population as Hunters or Engineers: Hunters can scan areas and set traps, while Engineers repair damaged generators and help identify the Imposter. Once infection reaches a sufficient level, the Imposter can transform into a zombie form for direct attacks. Players can use the default camp map or play on randomly generated maps with different layouts and generator positions.
How Zombie Within plays

- The hidden attacker can sabotage generators, infect civilians, complete camp tasks, shapeshift at night, and later attack in zombie form.
