Our take on Forecursed
The role-changing design gives up stable player identity within a round: death does not remove a participant from play, but changes that participant’s objective and abilities. The game therefore centers on shifting pursuit rather than one survivor’s journey.
What is Forecursed?
Forecursed is a multiplayer survival game for up to 12 players, centered on a curse that changes each participant’s role.
Inmates choose a teleport location, search the abandoned wasteland for tools, manage oxygen, and try to stay alive. The cursed player must pass the curse to another inmate through deception, traps, pursuit, supernatural leaps, wall tracking, and heartbeat detection. After death, a player returns as a ghoul with a distinct movement and hunting ability, such as crawling, flying, or sprinting. Ghouls pursue the remaining survivors and can cooperate with the cursed. A round ends when only one survivor remains, while the cursed player faces the risk of being consumed by the curse.
