Our take on Devil's Bluff
Rather than following a solitary survival-horror structure, the game places the threat inside a social scavenger hunt. Its central tension comes from proximity-based conversations, shifting alliances, and one participant secretly hunting the rest.
What is Devil's Bluff?
Devil's Bluff is an online murder-mystery game set during a Halloween scavenger hunt at Crawley Mansion.
In each match, one participant is randomly selected as the disguised Devil, while the other players search the estate and attempt to complete the hunt before being eliminated. The mansion contains secret areas, hidden routes, interactive objects, traps, teleporters, and hiding places. Survivors can cooperate, form alliances, betray one another, or act alone while trying to identify the killer. Proximity-based audio limits conversations and other sounds to nearby players, making speech, footsteps, and household noises part of the investigation. Players can also work together to capture the Devil once the identity is uncovered.
How Devil's Bluff plays
- 01Asymmetric Killer Role
- One randomly chosen player can attack while the remaining participants pursue the scavenger hunt and investigate the killer's identity.
- 02Mansion Exploration
- Crawley Mansion includes concealed rooms, alternate routes, traps, teleporters, and locations for hiding.
- 03Proximity Audio
- Only nearby players hear conversations and environmental sounds, making movement and noise relevant to discovery.
- 04Social Deception
- Players can cooperate, betray allies, distract the killer, evade attacks, or attempt to capture the Devil.
- 05Interactive Soundtrack
- Area-based music uses an evil musical interruption when the killer is close.
