Our take on Survivor Mercs
The listing foregrounds frantic combat, loot, and build variety, while the core loop also includes repeated extraction defenses, escalating enemy pressure, and permanent base management. That makes the game’s structure closer to a run-based management cycle than a continuous action campaign.
What is Survivor Mercs?
Survivor Mercs combines twin-stick shooting with horde survival and squad management.
Players control a Commander clone with randomly assigned traits, fight alongside recruited Mercs, and choose specializations, weapons, abilities, and Gear for each operation. Missions span several stages across procedurally generated maps, with objectives, extraction defenses, escalating enemy strength, and boss encounters. Death forfeits loot, while successful runs provide resources for hiring Mercs, buying Gear, researching traits and weapons, and upgrading the Bunker HQ. Story missions develop the campaign against M. E. G. A. Corp. Up to 4 friends can control Mercs in couch co-op or through Steam Remote Play Together. The game also includes controller and keyboard-and-mouse support, Steam Deck verification, and Twitch integration.
