Our take on Above the Snow
The focus on hospitality, staff coordination, and trail construction leaves less room for direct action. Mountain hazards and rescue tasks appear through planning and management systems, while the crew’s story supplies the main narrative structure.
What is Above the Snow?
Run a mountain resort with a crew of friends during a severe Alpine winter.
Furnish the shelter with beds, storage, and entertainment, attract alpinists through facilities and interior design, and manage equipment for workers and guests. Assign staff according to their strengths and weaknesses while handling time-sensitive work, demanding visitors, reporters, sabotage, weather crises, and the Great Avalanche. Expand outdoors by mapping trails through the wilderness, adapting routes to guests’ abilities, placing camp points, upgrading difficult sections, and avoiding hazards. Trail Tasks include rescue missions and transporting goods with land and air vehicles. The story campaign offers more than 20 hours of character-focused storytelling, while Endless Winter Mode removes the plot for open-ended play.
