Our take on Cursed Companions
Players who rely on fixed commands may hit the wall when a familiar phrase becomes forbidden. Groups can also stall at the emergency-vote stage if Traitor Mode’s suspicion and sabotage systems are not their focus.
What is Cursed Companions?
Cursed Companions is an online co-op horror game built around voice-activated mechanics.
Each player receives a forbidden word, and saying it causes damage. Other spoken commands can heal allies, light torches, disable traps, or drive away creatures, while some phrases may harm teammates or awaken monsters. Randomly generated dungeons create different runs, with many monsters to encounter and befriend. Players can tackle standalone boss stages, tougher Challenge Mode dungeons, or Endless Mode. Traitor Mode adds secret sabotage and emergency votes. Equipment includes teleport stones, ice wands, and stink potions. The game also includes home customization, unlockable skins, and official support for English, Japanese, French, Spanish, and Simplified Chinese.
