Our take on Yomi 2
Rather than using real-time movement and button inputs, Yomi 2 puts fighting-game choices into a turn-based card system. Reading the opponent and managing a hand take the place of executing moves in real time.
What is Yomi 2?
Yomi 2 turns fighting-game moves into cards for turn-based matches.
Cards include attacks, blocks, throws, dodges, and abilities; throws can beat blocks, while some attacks require a high or low guard. Players manage their hands, exchange eligible cards with ones in the discard pile, and build combos. Gems add character abilities and a once-per-game gem storm. The game includes 20 characters and 6 gems. Single-player modes include a career with venues, regular opponents, and tournaments, plus matches against AI at four difficulty levels. Multiplayer supports synchronous and asynchronous online play, as well as pass-and-play for local matches. A tutorial introduces the game.
