Our take on Yomi
The bounce point arrives when a player moves beyond the tutorial and must track character-specific options, combo timing, and opponent habits at once. The difficult AI, ranked play, and replay analysis all place the focus on repeated matchup study rather than a one-time rules introduction.
What is Yomi?
Yomi presents fighting-game mind games through card-based matches.
Players choose from 10 character decks, learn each character's options, practice combos, and respond to an opponent's habits. Matches can be played against AI opponents, including a difficult AI, or in Survival Mode against multiple AI opponents in succession. A tutorial introduces the game, while online play supports cross-platform matches with the iOS version. Online leaderboards progress from Student to Master ranks. Players can save match replays and watch games from other players, including those near the top of the leaderboards. The app also offers 10 additional expansion characters for purchase.
