Our take on Xmas Apocalypse
The short-run structure keeps the focus on immediate combat and build choices, but leaves less room for long-form storytelling or extended exploration. Permanent unlocks add progression between attempts, while horde encounters remain the central activity across sessions.
What is Xmas Apocalypse?
Xmas Apocalypse is a festive third-person shooter built around short horde-survival runs.
Santa fights zombies and other large creatures after his sleigh crashes in an undead-infested landscape. During each run, a deck of upgrades adds firearm effects such as extra projectiles, burning, or electrocution. Coins earned during runs unlock additional choices through a permanent Christmas skill tree, including new skills and lasting stat boosts. The game also includes new weapons and characters with distinct abilities and starting skills, plus presents containing useful items. Roguelite meta-progression connects separate runs, while each session is structured to last 10–20 minutes. The central objective is to survive until Christmas Day while finding weapon and skill combinations for encounters with zombies and other creatures.
