Our take on Hell Maiden
The bounce point arrives when each run requires repeated changes to Spirit, Weapon, and Mod Card combinations. Players who want straightforward action without build management may hit a wall before reaching the boss encounters.
What is Hell Maiden?
Hell Maiden combines horde survival combat with deck building in a Dante-inspired journey through Hell.
Players assemble decks from Spirit Cards, Weapon Cards, Mod Cards, abilities, bonuses, and status effects, then adjust combinations during their runs. Defeated enemies can contribute signature abilities to later builds. The game includes two levels based on the Circles of Hell, each with enemies, quests, challenges, and boss encounters. Dante can rescue and befriend four Poets of Limbo, gaining five abilities for each rescued poet, while defeated bosses provide two new abilities apiece. The story follows Dante, Virgil, and Beatrice as they seek a route back to Heaven and answers about Dante’s lost memories.
