Our take on Three Kingdom: The Journey
The game combines deck construction with route selection: the army moves through a map of territory choices, while events and earlier decisions shape later encounters.
What is Three Kingdom: The Journey?
Lead an army during the Han Dynasty’s struggle against the Yellow Turbans.
Choose one of three factions, a general, and equipment, then build a deck using generals, armies, formations, and spells. Infantry focus on damage and breaking defenses, cavalry support deck control and the general, and ranged units attack repeatedly and inflict status effects. Advance across a map by choosing territories with different rewards and possibilities. Random events, previous decisions, and nine territory types shape each playthrough.
Capture cities to gain points for improving the deck, and use experience and money to develop resources, recruit army members, and gain tactics. Battle regular enemies before facing bosses. The game includes more than 100 cards, 20 pieces of equipment, 60 kinds of enemies, and 20 events.
