Our take on Tales & Tactics
Rather than centering on direct combat control, this strategy game makes drafting, positioning, equipment, and team relationships the main decisions. Its run-based structure also changes progression: each run can unlock new systems, while individual unlocks can be disabled.
What is Tales & Tactics?
Build a squad and guide its leader through a single-player adventure across three acts, facing rival characters and bosses on the way to the Grand Tournament.
Draft units from groups including Fae, Dragons, Treefolk, Skeletons, Ghouls, and Orcs, then combine roles such as Tanks, Healers, Mages, and Engineers through trait synergies. Battles use autobattling, while preparation covers positioning, equipment, army size, unit tiers, and level-up perks. Each run offers different rewards, and completed runs unlock units, items, perks, and other systems. Unlocks can be disabled to control how new mechanics enter the game. The Challenge Climb adds 15 difficulty tiers and new mechanics. The game also includes ranked and unranked PvP, plus an asynchronous PvP mode.
