What is Sparkles & Gems?
Sparkles & Gems combines ball-and-paddle matches with treasure collection and a visual-novel-style story.
Two characters use paddles and a ball to break colour-matching gems, send rocks toward an opponent, and use power-ups. Treasure Mode awards experience and resources for defeating opponents in succession; resources can be used to buy and cast spells, while 50 objects can be collected to decorate a room. Story Mode follows four protagonists: Softie Meow, Sandway, OAT, and Geometry Clown. Two-player matches support local multiplayer and Steam Remote Play Together. The game uses left and right controls and includes a tutorial, customizable gameplay settings, reduced flashiness, character cards, a business-horse mini-documentary, and a sound and music test.
