Trusty Brothers is a local cooperative adventure for two players, with no single-player mode.
Partners explore dungeons, fight monsters with swords, solve puzzles, and search each level for a hidden Sun treasure. One player can lift and throw the other to cross gaps, reach distant areas, or risk landing in hazards such as magma. The game includes bows, arrows, a tornado wand, boomerangs, a miner's lamp, and remote bombs. These items can assist exploration and combat but may also injure a partner. Progress depends on coordinating movement, attacks, item use, and treasure collection across the game's levels.
