We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…

- Players looking for simple left-and-right movement controls
- Players interested in portal-travel stories centered on two sisters
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking complex controls or many character actions may find the movement system limited to forward and backward travel.
- Those who prefer forgiving gameplay may find the high difficulty and single-life minigame restrictive.
- Players wanting a large selection of stages may find the 4-map scope limited.
Our take on From The Sky: New Horizon
The simple movement system keeps play focused on steering around hazards, but sacrifices a broader range of character actions. The minigame also trades forgiveness for tension by ending a run on obstacle contact and allowing only one life.
What is From The Sky: New Horizon?
From The Sky: New Horizon follows sisters Yuki and Karma as they travel through time and space via portals.
Their journey visits settings including the Jurassic era, world wars, the ocean and space, each with different hazards. Players use left and right controls to move the character forward or backward and avoid obstacles. In the main game, heart checkpoints provide return points after death, while the maximum life count is 5. Reaching a portal ends the current world and leads to another.
A minigame places portals throughout the map; entering one awards 100 points and moves the player randomly to another world. Touching an obstacle ends the minigame run, which has one life. The game includes 4 maps, a minigame and a female protagonist.
