AdventureIs Rolling Toolman worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Players who enjoy timed rolling challenges with environmental hazards
- Players who prefer selecting individual stages instead of committing to a consecutive campaign
- Players who seek a limited-life challenge with collectible extra lives
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who need forgiving controls may struggle with steering the ball around rotating and pushing obstacles.
- Players who dislike repeating lengthy runs may stop at story mode's reset to level 1 after all 3 starting lives and any additional lives are lost.
- Players seeking a larger campaign may find 20 levels too limited.
Our take on Rolling Toolman
The bounce point is story mode's life system: losing every life sends the run back to level 1. Players who want to retry isolated stages can use single mode, but that removes the consecutive-run structure.
What is Rolling Toolman?
Roll Toolman inside a ball through 20 levels, avoiding hazards such as rotating cubes and platforms that can push the character off the map.
Each level requires reaching its goal as quickly as possible. Collecting 20 hammers grants an extra life, and the game saves the best time. Single mode allows any level to be selected, while story mode begins at level 1 and continues through the levels in sequence. Story mode starts with 3 lives; losing them all sends the run back to level 1. The game also includes Steam achievements, with saws at the ends of levels associated with achievement progress.
