Our take on Spacebase Startopia
Combining station administration with real-time battles creates a wider management load than a focused combat game. Attention is divided between visitor services, resources, rival economies, station development, and defense rather than concentrated on one military system.
What is Spacebase Startopia?
Manage Spacebase Startopia across three decks serving different station functions: survival rooms, visitor entertainment, and a bio-deck providing resources and shelter for Dryads.
The 10-mission, fully voiced campaign assigns station command through economic management, tourism development, trade, and military conflict. Competitors can be sabotaged economically or attacked with Mech Units, while Space Pirates may board the station. A configurable sandbox mode supports open-ended station management. Competitive and cooperative multiplayer accommodate up to four players. The dynamic AI narrator VAL comments on decisions and events. The Extended Edition adds the original soundtrack, an alien hat, statues for eight alien races, and skins for Fuzzy droids and Garbage Bots.
