Our take on Smelter
Its defining structure is the shift between direct side-scrolling action and top-down territory strategy, with each mode assigning expansion and combat responsibilities differently.
What is Smelter?
Smelter combines 2D action-platforming with top-down strategy across the Rumbly Lands.
Classic Mode uses strategy levels where territory expands through buildings, upgrades, and units, while Action Mode focuses on side-scrolling combat and leaves minions to annex locations and handle strategy and base building. Eve and Smelter can develop three skill sets with over 40 upgrades earned through multiple challenges. The Smelt ability works against enemies and objects, supporting movement through difficult terrain. The game includes secrets, hidden upgrades, trial levels, characters with varied personalities, boss encounters, and Boss Rush Mode with increasingly difficult challenges. Its story follows Eve as she searches for Adam in an unfamiliar world.
