Play it if you…
Good fit- Action-shooter players who want a story-led campaign in a connected setting
- Players who enjoy combat against enemies that flank, suppress, and react to tactics
- Players who want weapon modifications and replay modes with changing rules
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a short, compact campaign may bounce off the lengthy, continuous adventure structure.
- Players who prefer static arenas may find the destructible environments and tactical enemy behavior demanding.
- Players looking specifically for multiplayer shooting will not find that mode described here.
- Players wanting the stated endless arena mode immediately may need to wait for its planned Early Access release.
Our take on Selaco
The likely bounce point is the combat system: enemies communicate, flank, suppress, and change their responses to aggressive or vulnerable tactics. Players expecting straightforward target shooting may hit a wall when encounters require reacting to coordinated pressure rather than clearing predictable groups.
What is Selaco?
Selaco is an action shooter set during an invasion of a massive space station sheltering refugees after Earth’s fall.
Players control Dawn Collins, an ACE Security Captain investigating the station’s history when armed invaders attack. The campaign connects varied environments into one continuous journey, combining exploration with action sequences. Weapons can damage and alter surroundings, while enemies coordinate through communication, flanking, suppression, and tactical responses. Weapon upgrades and Weapon Kits add new utilities or change how weapons behave. The game includes Steam Workshop support, a soundtrack exceeding 3 hours, and Randomizer Mode with remixed mechanics and exclusive enemies. Incursion Mode, an endless arena survival mode, is planned for a later Early Access release.
