Our take on Legend of Kendor
The run-focused structure gives up persistent character growth between attempts. Permanent death, changing environments, and a 30-minute objective keep the emphasis on adapting during each run rather than building a lasting character.
What is Legend of Kendor?
Set in a fantasy world, this action roguelike lets players shape each run while guiding one of four heroes through varied biomes.
Gather gear, weapons, and experience, enchant equipment, and attempt to rescue loved ones before a 30-minute limit expires. A flawed wizard’s spell reshapes the world whenever fallen characters return. Each attempt includes permanent death, no loading screens, and consequences for more than 20 killable NPCs. The game includes over 100 items and weapons, plus more than 10 pettable puppies, cats, and a dragon. Keyboard and controller controls can be remapped, with controller play and 60 FPS pixel visuals. Planned additions include localization, two-player local co-op, characters, achievements, leaderboards, and content.
