Our take on Confronted
Players may hit a wall when a hiding place must withstand the specific monster pursuing them. Those expecting combat will also bounce off the central rule that the hunters cannot be fought, while the current Early Access length may stop players after about 2.5 hours.
What is Confronted?
Confronted is a survival-focused action adventure set in Radu Castle.
Playing as Dorinela, a survivor returning to confront an abuser’s curse, players explore the castle, gather resources, and construct makeshift hideouts while monsters hunt them. Different creatures require different hiding tactics: wood can burn and metal can break. The game combines stalking sequences with light puzzles, secret-finding, and situations that require problem-solving. Early Access currently contains about 2. 5 hours of gameplay. A final chapter is planned as a free update when the game reaches full release.

Confronted compared to similar games
Jusant centers on climbing tools, stamina management, and reaching the top of a tower, while Confronted centers on evading monsters, building hideouts, and exploring a cursed castle. The two share exploration and puzzle elements, but their main interactions differ: climbing routes and physical traversal in Jusant versus resource scavenging and monster-specific hiding tactics in Confronted.
