Our take on Potion Permit
The bounce point is the treatment-and-gathering cycle: players expecting combat to lead the experience may hit a wall when monster encounters mainly supply materials for remedies, with patient care, brewing, and town activities occupying the wider routine.
What is Potion Permit?
Potion Permit casts the player as a chemist sent to Moonbury to treat the mayor’s sick daughter and care for other residents.
Around 30 inhabitants may become ill, requiring symptom diagnosis and remedies made from gathered ingredients. Materials can be collected with tools or taken from monsters during real-time combat. The cauldron produces medicine, vitamins, and other concoctions, while upgrades allow more ingredients in advanced recipes. Caring for residents builds relationships and raises approval, enabling improvements to public buildings and access to more surrounding areas.
Outside treatment and gathering, the game includes fishing, tavern visits, exploration, furniture crafting and purchases, and time with a dog companion. The dog can locate hidden items and indicate where residents are. Game objectives have no time limits.
