What is Ostranauts?
Survive on the fringes of a solar system isolated from a devastated Earth by scavenging derelict ships for usable components.
Refurbish what you find, sell it, or spend the proceeds on fuel, oxygen, food, and debt payments. Shape a character through their history, earnings, credentials, abilities, and personality, with those choices affecting social encounters and ship operations. Assemble a vessel from practical modules, link its systems, supply energy and fuel, and replace damaged hardware. Piloting uses Newtonian motion, so operating consoles, toggles, and docking procedures require care.
Crew members have bodily and psychological needs, and their histories guide their decisions. Dialogue, alliances, hiring, and future possibilities can change according to previous actions. Modders can alter much of the game through editable plain-text data files.
