We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Space-combat players who want to customize ships rather than use fixed loadouts
- Exploration fans who prefer roaming between galaxy locations in a flexible order

Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a tightly linear journey may find the open-ended node travel and roaming less suited to them.
- Those who prefer straightforward combat may find ship-part choices and tactical piloting add extra demands.
- Players looking for cooperative or competitive human opponents may not find that in the described arena modes.
Our take on Star Singularity
Ship customization gives combat a tactical layer, but it also means progress involves gathering and fitting components rather than relying on a fixed vessel. The generated galaxy adds variation, while the campaign still routes players through predetermined locations.
What is Star Singularity?
Star Singularity is a space action-adventure built around spacecraft combat, resource gathering, and exploration.
The story begins with one ship and a small base amid a conflict involving multiple factions. Missions and other activities provide routes to new components, which can also be obtained through crafting, trading, or salvaging debris. Parts can be rearranged to change a ship’s capabilities, such as trading shield protection for stealth or replacing a turret with an engine. The campaign guides travel through set locations, while free roaming allows jumps between galaxy nodes in any order. The galaxy is procedurally generated with some variation between playthroughs. Outside the campaign, arena modes pit ships against AI opponents in encounters ranging from one-on-one fights to fleet battles.
