Our take on SPACERIFT: Arcanum System
Rather than centering a fixed campaign, this space game combines open exploration with an evolving economy, player-built production, vessel ownership, and corporations. Its flight model also treats engines as sources of acceleration, while automatic stabilization can be configured around that movement.
What is SPACERIFT: Arcanum System?
Pilot a spacecraft through the Arcanum system after retreating from a battle near Earth.
This online open-world space simulator offers first- and third-person views, ship equipment, vessel purchases, part-based assembly, and captured ships. Several ships can be kept for different roles, including exploration, cargo transport, and combat. Its economic systems cover asteroid mining, factory construction, and the building or destruction of space stations. Ship movement is based on acceleration, with configurable automatic stabilization systems. Crashes can make vessels difficult to restore, while pirates may take cargo. Fifteen static sectors provide a starting area, and wormholes lead to distant space. Random quests and encounters with abandoned ships add events during exploration. Players can also form corporations and explore sectors together.
