Our take on Neon Chrome
Rather than using a fixed campaign route, the game rebuilds the path after every death while retaining permanent stat gains. Its procedural structure is paired with handcrafted combat and puzzle sections, creating a mix of changing layouts and authored challenges.
What is Neon Chrome?
Neon Chrome is a top-down twin-stick shooter with procedurally generated routes, destructible environments, and a final confrontation with the Overseer.
Players fire through walls, destroy rooms, and face enemies including guards, drones, cyborgs, and large military robots. Looted credits permanently improve stats such as health, luck, and damage, while each run adds temporary weapons and cybernetic enhancements. Before a run, players select one of three randomized assets combining a class, weapon, and ability. Routes include randomly generated futuristic areas alongside handcrafted combat and puzzle sections. The game includes more than twelve weapons, over four dozen enhancements, level-editor and mod support, and shared-screen local co-op for 2–4 players.
