Our take on Skeletal Avenger
Players who want to settle into one fixed combat setup may hit a wall when each run asks them to shape a build from perks and trinkets. The skull attack adds another recurring choice: its effect changes with the character’s hat, so players who dislike adapting equipment to their attacks may find that system frustrating.
What is Skeletal Avenger?
Skeletal Avenger is a single-player dungeon crawler with local co-op for 2–4 players.
Each run takes a skeletal warrior through changing levels that combine procedural generation with handmade sections. Combat uses weapon moves and special attacks triggered by throwing the character’s skull; the hat determines the attack’s effect. Players can choose skeletons with distinct skills, collect gear and other loot, and buy upgrades. More than 50 perks and trinkets offer options for shaping each run, while enemies appear across four biomes: Dungeons, Sewers, Dark Caverns, and the Sorcerer’s Castle. The game also includes Arena Challenges and an NG+ mode with an endless number of quests. Its central goal is to fight through the dungeons in pursuit of vengeance.
