Our take on Middle Evil: The Priest
Rather than centering a conventional warrior, the game makes a young priest its combatant and turns a holy book into a word-combination mechanic. Death also changes the structure: the Underworld becomes a place for health or stamina upgrades before another attempt.
What is Middle Evil: The Priest?
Middle Evil: The Priest is a 2D cartoon action-adventure game with top-down shooting elements.
A young priest arrives in a village whose church has been overtaken by evil. Combat uses a cross, sword, herbal censer, and a holy book for composing words that produce miracles. Skeletons, ghosts, vampires, and other creatures attack while the priest performs seven night prayers intended to defeat the evil. Villagers sell potions and other items. If the priest dies, the story continues in the Underworld, where health or stamina can be upgraded before returning to life. The game combines a medieval setting with a village and an Underworld area, using animated cartoon visuals and action-focused gameplay.
