Our take on Chernobyl: Road of Death
The game gives up a stable route in exchange for changing run conditions. Starting areas, environmental elements, and tasks move between runs, while survival hazards remain central to the journey toward the nuclear plant.
What is Chernobyl: Road of Death?
This 2D shooter combines survival and roguelike elements in a post-explosion Chernobyl zone.
The objective is to reach the nuclear power plant, complete tasks, and prevent a possible second explosion. Mutants, armed soldiers, radiation, weather, and changing daylight create hazards along the route. A special water tool can remove radiation. Tents provide shelter from radioactive rain, while a flashlight and fires illuminate dark areas. A fire near a tent also supports faster recovery. Food, first-aid kits, and ammunition are scattered across the territory. Each run starts in a different part of the map, with task and environmental placements changing. The journey passes through forests, swamps, landfills, the Duga-2 military facility, and Pripyat.
