Our take on Medieval: Total War™ - Collection
The collection foregrounds a broad medieval campaign, but its scope also depends on an older expansion structure: Viking Invasion adds a separate 793–1066 setting and selected additions to the original campaign rather than presenting one unified timeline.
What is Medieval: Total War™ - Collection?
This collection combines Medieval: Total War with its Viking Invasion expansion.
The main game covers four centuries across Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa, where players manage dynasties, recruit armies, besiege settlements, fight at sea, and use emissaries, spies, and assassins in diplomatic or covert actions. Fourteen factions are playable, with battles supporting up to 10,000 soldiers on screen. Viking Invasion adds a campaign covering the British Isles and western Scandinavia from 793 to 1066. Players can lead Vikings in raids or command early Anglo-Saxon factions such as Wessex and Mercia. The expansion also adds factions, units, flaming ammunition, and three factions for the original Grand Campaign.
