Our take on Crusader Kings Complete
The game’s broad dynastic and political model trades focused battlefield control for managing laws, taxes, vassals, nobles and religious alliances across a long historical campaign. Players looking for combat as the sole focus may find the administrative layer unavoidable.
What is Crusader Kings Complete?
Lead a Christian dynasty in fragmented medieval Europe while building a feudal state over 400 years.
Manage vassals, courtiers and nobles, introduce laws, set taxes, expand territory and develop castles and cathedrals. Political and religious decisions generate historical multiple-choice events, while conflicts include the Hundred Years War, five Crusades, Mongol campaigns, highway robbers and rebellious vassals. Players can work with other monarchs and religious orders, including the Templars, Knights of St John, Teutonic Order, Order of Calatrava and Order of Santiago. The game uses real-time grand-strategy mechanics, an evolutionary combat system and multiplayer battles for up to 8 players.
