Our take on Stellar Monarch 2
Players who expect to move individual ships or build farms will hit the wall at the game's abstract management layer. Those seeking aliens as conventional competing empires may also bounce off factions that follow different rules and do not try to win the game.
What is Stellar Monarch 2?
Play as the emperor of a turn-based 4X space empire, focusing on court politics and major decisions rather than low-level logistics.
Manage noble houses, their loyalty, obedience, and military support; appoint ministers and advisors; grant audiences; issue edicts; and set production priorities. Assassins, rebels, traitors, usurpers, disloyal admirals, and governors create internal threats. Fleets, planets, and ships are managed at a high level instead of through individual construction and movement. The empire can include hundreds of planets and thousands of ships. Aliens follow rules different from Terrans and do not act as conventional competing empires. Some may become useful assets, while others present obstacles or threats.

- 03Asymmetric aliens

- Respond to assassins, rebels, traitors, disloyal admirals, incompetent governors, and rival claimants.
