Our take on The Lamplighters League
The shift from real-time infiltration to turn-based combat is the likely sticking point for players who want one consistent encounter style. Squad management also carries consequences: stress and injuries can affect agents as missions accumulate.
What is The Lamplighters League?
Set in an alternate 1930s, The Lamplighters League follows a squad of outcasts pursuing the Banished Court across locations around the world.
Missions combine real-time infiltration, where agents sneak past enemies and position themselves, with turn-based tactical battles. Characters have distinct abilities and roles, and missions reveal their stories. Between encounters, recruit allies, manage global choices, and develop agents with new abilities, gear, and augmentations. Each mission provides resources and can increase agent abilities, while stress and injuries can affect the team. The Deluxe Edition adds Nocturne, a playable character who teleports and attacks with shocks, along with the full-game soundtrack and a digital art book.
