Our take on Yakuza Kiwami 2
The defining structure is its contrast between full-contact street fights and extended breaks in two entertainment districts, where activities such as karaoke, cabaret visits, batting, and blackjack sit alongside the clan conflict.
What is Yakuza Kiwami 2?
Kazuma Kiryu returns to the yakuza world after an assassination threatens peace between the Tojo Clan and a rival group in Osaka.
The game combines close-range street combat with exploration across Kamurocho and Sotenbori. Fights use combo attacks, special heat moves, and the surrounding environment. Between conflicts, Kiryu can visit restaurants, bars, karaoke venues, cabarets, batting cages, and blackjack tables. A separate Majima Saga follows Goro Majima during events between Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2. The game includes additional languages compared with Yakuza Kiwami 2 (Legacy), but its basic content and specifications are unchanged. Legacy save data cannot be transferred.

Ghost of a Tale is also an action-RPG centered on exploration, but it follows a mouse minstrel in a medieval animal world and includes stealth, disguises, and conversations. Yakuza Kiwami 2 instead focuses on a clan conflict in Japan, with direct brawling and city entertainment activities.
