Our take on Little Dungeon Stories
Rather than presenting dungeon exploration as a fixed sequence of rooms, the game uses card-based roguelike runs with changing floor contents and resource management. Its structure also ties continued play to unlocking classes, weapons, companions, and further cards.
What is Little Dungeon Stories?
Little Dungeon Stories is a pixel-art roguelike RPG built around cards.
Players enter a crypt in search of treasure and explore five areas, each with its own monsters, traps, and bosses. Floors bring changing items, enemies, hazards, curses, and places to explore. The character must manage Health, Energy, Humanity, and Money while finding enchanted items, weapons, and shields for combat. Shops offer supplies, but spending also needs to be managed. Enemies, items, and player actions can cause status effects that alter how play unfolds. Repeated runs can unlock classes, weapons, companions, and additional cards and dungeon content.
