Our take on Thyria
The focus on repeated dream expeditions and tactical preparation comes with less emphasis on a fixed, linear journey. Procedural maps, changing teams, and resource decisions create variation, but players seeking a tightly staged adventure may find the structure less directed.
What is Thyria?
Thyria combines exploration, turn-based combat, crafting, and team management in an RPG set inside the dreams of cursed villagers.
A procedurally generated isometric map presents exchanges, gifts, deception, fights, and changing visibility across day and night cycles. Soul Dust, Inks, knowledge, relics, and other resources support each expedition, while treating patients changes potential rewards and risks. Combat uses Guardians with distinct spells and abilities, requiring attention to their strengths, weaknesses, and cooperation. In the laboratory, two Soul Jewels can be merged to summon Guardians, while spells can be selected and combined for each team member. The game includes 14 Guardians, equipment and Charms with more than 30 modifiers, and an online Auction House for item exchanges.
