RPGIs Linked Worlds worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- JRPG players who want tactical battles with grid-based movement
- Players who enjoy managing abilities and changing their equipped skills
- Players interested in time-driven events and NPC interactions
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who want battles without positioning or grid movement may find the tactical combat a poor match.
- Players who prefer a world unaffected by the passage of time may hit a wall when time changes quests, monster behavior, and shop hours.
- Players looking for a puzzle game rather than a role-playing adventure may prefer a different format.
Our take on Linked Worlds
Players who want to explore without tracking time may hit a wall once movement and actions advance the clock. That system affects quests, monster behavior, events, and shop hours, so decisions about when to act are part of the journey.
What is Linked Worlds?
Linked Worlds is a JRPG set on the continent of Cestina, where Albus must stop the Dark Beast before it regains its full power.
Battles use grid-based movement, and players can learn and equip or unequip 100 abilities to shape their approach. Time advances as Albus walks or takes actions such as sleeping and fishing. It also affects events, quests, monster behavior, and shop hours. NPCs respond to time passing and to Albus’s actions; helping them can alter or save their lives. Quests reward rare items and weapons. Optional areas and enemies include super bosses.
