Our take on Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess
Rather than keeping strategy at a distance, the game pairs battlefield planning with direct sword combat. Its recurring structure alternates daytime preparation and nighttime defense, with Yoshiro's gate-cleansing dance marking the transition back toward the next cycle.
What is Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess?
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is a solo action-strategy game set on Mt.
Kafuku, where corruption has spread across the mountain. In daylight, Soh cleanses villages and makes preparations for the coming night. Once darkness falls, Seethe creatures pass through Torii Gates and target Yoshiro, the Maiden. Soh uses sword techniques against them, supported by villagers given specialized duties.
Battle decisions include assigning those villagers to positions, selecting their roles, and choosing which foes Soh will engage while circumstances shift. If the defense lasts until morning, Yoshiro can be escorted to a Torii Gate during daylight and use a Kagura dance to purify it. This cycle continues as Soh and Yoshiro seek to cleanse Mt. Kafuku and bring peace back to its villages.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess compared to similar games
Kunitsu-Gami combines direct sword combat with villager roles, battlefield placement, and a repeating day-and-night defense cycle.
