Our take on Dino Crisis
The store copy foregrounds the survival-horror premise and dinosaur encounters, while much of the current release’s practical value lies in technical adjustments: display controls, controller support, six languages, and three included modes. The presentation gives less emphasis to those re-release-specific additions.
What is Dino Crisis?
Dino Crisis follows Regina, a government agent sent to an isolated island facility in the Republic of Borginia to retrieve a scientist researching Third Energy.
The mission turns into a fight for survival against dinosaurs that pursue the player between rooms and can break through doors and windows. The game includes Original, Arrange, and Operation Wipe Out modes, with the latter playable fully offline and storing scores locally. This re-release adds a DirectX renderer, windowed display, vertical synchronization, gamma adjustment, integer scaling, anti-aliasing, and increased rendering resolution. It also includes six language versions, modern controller support, revised geometry and transparency, and changes intended to prevent corrupted save files.
