ActionIs Deathground worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Horror players who want dinosaur threats and survival missions
- Small groups who want cooperative play for up to 4 players
- Solo players who want to face the facility without teammates
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who want predictable enemy behavior may hit a wall when dinosaurs react to sight, hearing and movement.
- Players who prefer a relaxed pace may struggle with missions that require stealth, survival and extraction under threat.
- Players looking for a story-only experience may not want mission objectives, tools and escape-focused runs.
Our take on Deathground
The likely bounce point is the extraction loop: players who want to explore at a relaxed pace may hit a wall when objectives and reactive dinosaurs demand stealth, tool use and a successful escape. Solo play also removes the option to rely on teammates.
What is Deathground?
Deathground is a survival horror game about completing missions inside the abandoned AEON research facility and reaching extraction while dinosaurs hunt the players.
Runs include procedurally generated elements, varied objectives, lore documents to recover and enemies that react to sight, hearing and movement. Players can use stealth, combat and specialist tools such as a Motion Detector, Tranquilizer Rifle, Hacking Device and Field-Medkit. Play solo or coordinate with up to 3 other players, managing tools and working together to complete objectives.
The game also supports leaving teammates behind for a solo run. Players can choose between feathered and non-feathered dinosaur appearances, and those choices can differ within the same session. The setting includes several abandoned research facilities with different themes, challenges and hazards.
